OpenRange™
Unrestricted blocks of cyber range access so SOC teams can practice at their own pace
OpenRange: Self-Led Team and Individual Cyber Simulation Training
OpenRange sessions can be incorporated into a security team’s FlexRange program to complement instructor-led missions. Think of an open gym versus training with a trainer.
CLOUD RANGE OPENRANGE SESSIONS
Following are examples of how some of our valued Cloud Range Enterprise customers make the best use of their OpenRange time:
Replay Attack Simulation: This process helps team members build individual and group confidence and work on skill sets they learned in an instructor-led mission by repeating the attack simulation.
Standard Operating Procedure/Playbook/Runbook Development: Take the live attack, apply the attack to the team’s playbook, and put them into action to identify holes or gaps. Also, take the opportunity to re-run the mission to add more time to understand the attack flow.
Red vs. Blue Practice: During these exercises, the team can work in a live environment to attack each other in friendly competition and test each others’ skills.
Malware Reverse Engineering: Team members can take a piece of malware (e.g., worm, trojan, ransomware, etc.) and disassemble it to look for small indications of compromise.
Vulnerability Assessment Deep Dive: For this exercise, Cloud Range provides the team with a completely vulnerable machine and deep dive into the who, what, when, where, and why to get a vulnerability score based on risk and impact.
What is OpenRange?
Cloud Range OpenRange sessions are non-instructor-led cyber range sessions that allow security team members to work at their own pace on specific attack scenarios and revisit concepts, activities, and specific areas for improvement from instructor-led sessions.
